Grandma- I will never forget that twinkle in your eye, or that cute little "hi"
- I will never forget that smell of powder on your cheek, or how soft it felt when kissing you goodbye.
- I will never forget how you used to watch in the window and wave good bye.
- I will never forget you when I look up in the sky.
Forever your grandaughter,
Jennifer

Dear Grammy,
You left this earth such a short time ago, yet I miss you so much. The belief that you are happy now, free of pain and ailments and reconnected with grandpa are what get me through my own grief. I have cried many tears, but I realize that I am not crying for you. I am happy for you. I am actually crying for me and the void I now feel without you down here with me. There isn't a person on this earth who has ever lit up with such happiness as you did each and every time you saw me and more recently, my husband and children. They miss you so much, too! Cadence and Avelinn always ask to see Grammy at the "funeral". We have been to visit you and see your beautiful picture several times. You truly were a living angel and now you are home where you belong. God will take care of you now. More special to me than many others in my life, I will continue to keep you close to my heart where you have always been.
I will always remember our long talks and our special dances. Thank you for dancing with me at my wedding! So glad you were able to be there for me and enjoy yourself!
Please keep a watchful eye on me and my children. I will be looking to you for strength when I need it.
with love forever and always,
Mandy, Zach, Cadence & Avelinn, too!
[Got the news on Friday morning, but a tear I couldn't find.
You showed me how I'm supposed to live and now you showed me how to die.
I was lost til Sunday morning.
I woke up to face my fear.
While writing you this goodbye song, I found a tear.
I'm gonna miss that smile,
I'm gonna miss you, my friend.
Even though it hurts the way it ended up,
I'd do it all again.
So play it sweet in heaven
Cause that's right where you ought to be.
I'm not crying 'cause I feel so sorry for you,
I'm crying for me.]

To the Best Grammy,
While things have been very busy in our lives, it always relaxed us and made us happy when we went to Grammy's. I remember when we visited you, you would always have plenty of treats and lemonade. Your strength and kindness are second to no one else and you will forever be remembered as you should; A strong, caring & understanding woman. While you are no longer with us, you will continue to live on through us.
Love you always,
Brenden, Kristi, Kevin & Juliana too!

You can only have one mother
Patient kind and true;
No other friend in all the world,
Will be the same to you.
When other friends forsake you,
To mother you will return,
For all her loving kindness,
She asks nothing in return.
As we look upon her picture,
Sweet memories we recall,
Of a face so full of sunshine,
And a smile for one and all.
Sweet Jesus, take this message,
To our dear mother up above;
Tell her how we miss her,
And give her all our love.
I love you and I miss you. May God bless you always.
Your loving daughter Barbara

Mom you are special to me because you gave me more than life. You gave me who I am today, tomorrow and until we meet again. I miss you dearly, not being able to talk anymore or do any of the things we used to. Those are my most precious memories of us together. Living life and not knowing when it will end only makes these memories more important to me. I'll always love you.

Your mother is always with you...
She's the whisper of the leaves
as you walk down the street.
She's the smell of bleach in
your freshly laundered socks.
She's the cool hand on your
brow when you're not well.
Your mother lives inside
your laughter. She's crystallized
in every tear drop...
She's the place you came from,
your first home.. She's the map you
follow with every step that you take.
She's your first love and your first heart
break....and nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, Not space...
Not even death....
will ever separate you
from your mother....
You carry her inside of you....

Grandma, you were just a girl,
So many years ago.
You had your loves and had your dreams,
You watched us come and go.
You watched us make the same mistakes,
That you had made before,
But that just made you hold us tight,
And love us all the more.
We haven’t always thought about
The things that you have seen.
To us you’ve just been Grandma,
No thought of who you’ve been.
But we remember now in love,
Your life from start to end,
And we’re just glad we knew you,
As Grandma, and as Friend.
