I remember Carl would sit in on drums with "The New Breed" in '68 and played an awesome off-beat to Cold Sweat by James Brown. He had a natural talent. RIP Carl

Dearest Carl,

Words can't begin to describe the sorrow felt now that you are gone. I feel fortunate to have met you my dear friend, you will never be forgotten. I will miss you deeply! Our times spent were the greatest and I will cherish them. You were someone I looked forward to seeing and hearing from daily. I will miss our conversations especially the ones so full of emotion where we would both cry, our movie nights, dinners together, your laugh and your words full of wisdom and encouragement. I'm still in disbelief my friend we were cooking dinner together just a few weeks ago, but I know you are in a better place.

❤❤❤I love you and always will may you Rest In Peace!❤❤❤

Our deepest condolences go out to the Hunter family. Carl and I go back to the Tuttle road days. I followed his groups Oreo and Air, always thought he was a great drummer and very talented. I will remember the days riding the ferry over to Fisher's island to go porgie fishing. When ever we would meet we would reminisce about family and friends, he will be greatly missed. May you find comfort in the Lord during this time, God bless.

It was an honor to have been witness to many performances of the great band, 'OREO' of which Carl was the 'front man' as well as multi-instrumentalist who had an extraordinary voice and range. While I never met Carl in person, I have been privileged to have known other members, one of whom I have the honor of working with. Carl was always spoken highly of. No more earthly suffering Carl... Rest peacefully..

Rest in Peace Carl, Thanks for all your beautiful music you shared with the Middletown Community. I have so many memories of attending musical events that you were "The Man" with the voice. May the good Lord be with the Hunter family at such a time as this.

To the family of Carl, I'm very sorry for the loss of Carl, I remember when Carl and bubby had a band called called the royal knights of soul and they use to play in east hampton at the pius center Friday nights in 1969-1970, followed Carl everywhere when he was with Oreo, and another band he was in called air, such a great talent, he will be greatly missed.
