John William Sullins, Jr.
  
John William Sullins, Jr., of Middletown, CT, husband of Ella M. (Law) Sullins, was called home on March 22, 2017. Born on April 30, 1947 in Tuskegee, Alabama, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John, Sr., and Arabelle (Cranford) Sullins.

John lived in Middletown for the past 18 years. He was a member of Good News Baptist Church in Middletown for many years. He was a dedicated member of the American Legion Post 206, the Twelve Supporters Club and a retiree from UPS where he was employed for 35 years. John served his country in the Vietnam War.

Along with his loving and devoted wife, Ella, John leaves to cherish his memory; seven children, Juquita Walker of Atlanta, GA, Monnece (Roger) Ritter of Greensboro, NC, Stevan (Jennifer) Sullins, Jr. of Newington, CT, Julius Sullins of Middletown, CT, Kwame Law of Cromwell, CT, Latasha Jenkins and Bobby Law of Hartford, CT; thirteen grandchildren, Taneisha, Norah, Stevan, Jr., Dageanna, Jawan, Danielle, Kaitlyn, Derrick, Jr., Justin, Alexia, Sole, Kwame, Jr. and Journey and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 28 at 11:00 am at Zion First Baptist Church, 16 James A. Moses Avenue, Middletown. Burial will follow in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown where full military honors will be accorded.
